[Until November 17th] Memories of Light - Experience Hyogo through light, a participatory art project

We are collecting photos taken within Hyogo Prefecture on the theme of "Light around us," and will compile and exhibit them in a zine.

We planned this project together with photographer Mai Kawamoto , hoping to visualize the flow of time and atmosphere in the area, without being bound by the framework of famous places and specialties, through the ``light'' felt by people living in Hyogo and those visiting the area.

The sunlight streaming through the window in the morning.
In the afternoon, light illuminates the coffee on the table.
Shadows stretching at dusk, the city at night, local festivals.

This moment is spent all over Hyogo.
I would like each person to take a photograph of the light that is close to them and tell us about it.
I look forward to seeing the light all around you.

Bookbinding Workshop

On Saturday, November 29th, we will be holding a bookbinding workshop at the AWAJI EARTH MUSEUM in conjunction with the "Memories of Light" zine exhibition.

For those who apply in advance, we will print your own photo on the cover, creating a one-of-a-kind book to take home. The zine will be bound in a three-hole stitch using thread dyed with plants from Awaji Island.

Even if you are not participating in the "Memories of Light" photo contest, you can still take part in the bookbinding workshop, so we hope you will stop by if you are visiting Awaji Island.
